dc.description.abstractThe current work presents a test rig for evaluation of static performance of hybrid fluid film thrust bearings for liquid rocket engine turbopumps in reusable launch vehicles. High speed electric motor drives the rotor and thrust disk while applying static loads on the water-lubricated test thrust bearing. The measured bearing characteristics are compared with predictions.en_US
