Abstract
The current work presents the design and application of hybrid fluid film bearings for space propulsion systems. Hybrid fluid film bearings in liquid rocket engine turbopumps enable reliable operation of reusable launch vehicles at extreme conditions. The study reviews the turbopump fluid film bearing technology in the USA, Europe, and Japan with high durability and enhanced reusability.
