Abstract
In this paper, the HILS system for performance estimation of MDPS and development of a control algorithm is proposed. In the HILS system, the mechanism for expressing the lateral force of tire in cornering is defined, and verified by ADAMS. A hydraulic actuator basically operated by th sliding mode control and is used for the mechanism, to simulate the effect of real tire lateral force. The flow rate is controlled by the PWM signal transferred from the tire lateral force which is analytically calculated. Through the simulation using the constructed HILS system, the environment that can improve the state of vehicle is realized. The algorithm for a MDPS control is also verified.
