Silica-alumina supported Ni2P catalysts with a co-catalyst LiAlH4 exhibited a higher reaction rate and improved productivity for ethylene oligomerization to higher olefins owing to the phosphorus and oxygen surrounding nickel. This catalyst system possesses characteristics of active homogeneous and heterogeneous Ni-containing catalysts previously reported for ethylene oligomerization.en_US
