Abstract

Today, the new digitalized architectural design methods defined the architectural existence beyond the means of architectural representation. As a result, many changes happened in spatial concepts, constructive methods and formal organizations. And it affected architects since 1990's in many respects. Traditionally, representational methods of architecture reflected the architectural natures like a space and a construction to outside. But today, it inverted, the architectural existence was changed by digitalized representational medium. The purpose of this study is to analyze the representational characteristics of digitalized representational medium. The purpose of this study is to analyze the representational characteristics of digitalized architectural design through the 'Instrumental' characteristics and the 'Representational' characteristics.
