해초엽에 부착하는 규조류의 부착형태

Abstract

두 종의 해초 (Zostera marina, Phyllospadix iwatensis)에 부착하여 서식하는 규조류의 부착형태를 전자현미경으로 관찰하였다. 부착규조류는 일반적으로 점액질을 이용하여 서식을 하지만, 기질의 굴곡에 따라 세포의 모양을 왜곡시켜 부착함으로써 외부의 물리적 영향에 대하여 최소한의 저항을 유지하고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 또한, 다량의 점액질로 세포를 기질에 완전하게 부착시킨 종일수록 외부의 물리적 저항에 강하게 견딜 수 있음을 알 수 있었으며, 산 처리나 흐르는 물에 헹구어내는 방법보다 솔질(brushing)과 같은 물리적 방법이 가장 제거효율이 높음을 확인하였다.

The epiphytic forms of diatoms on seagrass (Zostera marina, Phyllospadix iwatensis) were studied using SEM. Beside the Epiphytic diatoms attachment by secretion of mucilage to the substratum. But, in this study, we found that epiphytic diatoms show distorted shape to be attached for least physical resistance. Among these one can attach themselves by gelatinous mass can survive to external resistance. In addition, soft brushing treatment provided the best results as nearly all epiphytes are removed.
