dc.description.abstract | This study investigated the applicability of a liquid desiccant assisted dedicated outdoor air system (LDADOAS) with organic Rankine cycle (ORC) to high-rise apartment building as a centralized ventilation system. A existing DOAS is used for reference system to compare the energy benefit analysis. The LDADOAS is consisted of liquid desiccant system and indirect evaporative cooler, and uses 100% of outdoor air as ventilation. A Novec 649 and district heat source was used as a working refrigerant and heat source, respectively. A electrical power produced by the ORC is used to a common electricity in apartment building. A waste heat source from the ORC is used to solution heating at the regenerator in the LDADOAS. The result showed that the LDADOAS with ORC saved 63.6% of primary energy compare with reference DOAS despite of three times of energy demands. Consequently, the proposed system has energy benefit than reference ventilation system because of the use of the waste heat source from the ORC. | en_US |
