강남구와 성동구에서 실시하는 생활과학교실 사례로 살펴본 학교 밖 과학교육활동의 흥미요인 분석

Abstract

학교 밖 과학교육활동이 중요시 되고 있는 가운데 본 연구는 초등학교 3학년에서 6학년까지의 학생을 대상으로 하는 지역사회 공헌 프로그램으로써 학교 밖 과학활동의 하나인 생활과학교실의 흥미요인을 분석해 보았다. 전국적으로 실시되고 있는 생활과학교실 중 한양대학교청소년과학기술진흥연구센터에서 성동구와 강남구를 중심으로 운영하고 있는 프로그램의 구성과 특징 위주로 연구를 수행하였다. 본 연구의 목적은 학교 밖 과학활동의 사례로서 재미있는 과학을 추구하는 생활과학교실이 학생들에게 과학 태도와 흥미의 향상에 긍정적인 영향을 제공했는지 알아보고, 만약 그렇다면 학생들에게 흥미를 제공하는 변인을 규명하여 과학교육에 대한 구체적인 처방을 제시하는 것 이다. 학생들의 설문 조사를 토대로 연구가 이루어 졌으며 학교 밖 과학활동이 학생의 태도와 흥미를 향상시키는 흥미요인은 다음과 같다. 학생들에게 과학 및 과학자에 대해 긍정적인 태도를 심어주었으며, 탐구과정을 사고의 방법으로 수용하도록 도와주었다. 또한 과학적 태도를 수용하고 과학학습과 경험을 즐길 수 있도록 해주었다. 그리고 과학 및 과학활동에 대한 흥미를 증진시켰으며 장래 직업으로서의 과학에 대한 흥미도 증진시켰다. 학생들은 수공적 기능과 생활과의 연관성을 강조한 프로그램에 대해 매우 긍정적인 반응을 나타내었으며 생활과학교실이 학교 과학교육이 보완적 역할을 한다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 하지만 본 연구의 결과는 성동구와 강남구의 사례에 국한된 것으로 앞으로의 학교 밖 과학교육활동의 지향점을 제시해 준다.; Considering recent trend emphasizing on the extra science curriculum, this research has been done to analyze the interest in one of the extra science curriculums, which called 'Life Science Class'. This study is executed the contributing to local community program to whom from grade 3 to grade 6. Among the life science classes carrying out around the country, we have given the first considering on the organization and characteristic of the program that is performed by Hanyang University institute for junior science technology development. This institute is administered with Sungdong province and Gangnam province. The first purpose of this study is to find out how the extra science curriculum can positively affect the student to improve their interest in science. The second purpose is if it truly has positive influence on the student, then we will find the very reason and show the specific plans on science education. It's based on student's research. Student's attitude and interests can improved in science activities, outside of the school. It's as follows. They get positive mind from science and scientist, helped to accept pursuit process for announcement by means. Also it helps accept of the scientific manners. And increase their scientific activities, attract their interest for the job. They have positive effects passive skill and related to their life, living science class is make up for school science class. But this result of the investigation is just a case from SeoungDongGu and GangNamGu, It's come up with the science study out of school in the future.
