A Taxonomical Study on the new Cerviniid Harpacticoid Copepods in Sagami bay, Japan

Abstract

도쿄 근처 사가미만의 수심 800~1,100m에서 submersible Shinkai 2000에 의해 1980대 중반에 조사된 Hatsushima cold seep 지역은 Paralomis와 함께 서식하는 Calyptogena soyoae Okutani 조개가 우점 하는 조밀한 저질군집을 이루고 있다. 이후로 이 지역의 동물성플랑크톤과 중형저서생물에 대한 연구가 보고된바 있다. 일본 사가미만의 심해에 서식하는 저서성 요각류의 다양성과 종구성에 대한 연구가 진행되는 가운데 몇 개의 하르팍티쿠스목 요각류가 채집되었다. 이중 Neocervinia itoi 란 종과 Cerviniopsis 속의 한 종이 동정되었다. 첫 번째 종은 Neocervinia itoi , Lee & Yoo, 1998이며 동일 지역에서 같은 종이 이미 보고된 바 있으나 수컷으로는 처음 기재이며 이들의 성적이형 부분을 주로 논하였다. 두 번째 종인 Cerviniopsis n. sp는 Cerviniopsis langi (Soyer, 1970)와 매우 유사하나 swimming legs의 seta formula와 P5, P6의 특징에 의해서 뚜렷이 구별되며 신종으로 여겨진다.; Dense benthic communities dominated by colonies of the giant vesicomyid clam Calyptogena soyoae Okutani associated with a lithodid stone crab Paralomis were observed at the Hatsushima cold seep site discovered in the mid 1980s by the Japanese submersible Shinkai 2000 at about 800-1,100m depth in Sagami Bay off Tokyo. Among than two species were identified as Neocervinia itoi and Cerviniopsis n. sp. The first species Neocervinia itoi Lee & Yoo, 1998 was originally reported in the same locality. The male of Neocervinia itoi is described for the first time and sexual dimorphism of the species is discussed. The second species is closely related to Cerviniopsis langi (Soyer,1970), However is easily distinguished from each other in the seta formula of swimming legs and P5, P6.
