중학교 미술 교과 분석을 통한 기초디자인 색채 영역 교육에 관한 연구

Abstract

본 논문은 색채 학습이 실제 디자인 과정에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위하여 문헌 연구와 더불어 실제 현장에서 수업하고 결과를 분석하였다. 우선 제7차 미술 교과 교육 과정과 기초디자인 색채 영역의 이론적 배경을 다양한 문헌 연구를 통해 알아보고 그 중 우리나라 색채 교육의 시원 및 목표, 중학교 현장에서의 교육 실태를 살펴보았다. 이와 같은 과정을 통하여 현재 중학교 미술 교과 색채 영역의 현황을 알아본 후 다음과 같이 문제점을 파악하고 개선방안을 제시하였다. 첫째, 색채 교육에 활용할 수 있도록 지침이 될 만한 참고 서적이나 관련 자료 등을 개발하여야 한다. 둘째, 연수 기회 확대 등의 방법으로 기초디자인 색채 영역 교육에 적합한 교사를 양성해야 한다. 셋째, 미술 교과의 중요성과 비중을 고려하여 수업 시수를 늘려야 한다. 이상과 같은 문제점을 개선하고 보완함으로써 청소년기인 중학생들에게 색채 교육의 바람직한 결과를 기대해 볼 수 있는 것이다. 또한 색채 교육의 필요성을 강조하기 위하여 현행 중학교 기초디자인 색채 영역의 교과서를 분석한 후 색채 교육 프로그램을 제시하였고 중등학교 디자인 교육이 이루어지고 있는 교육기관 중에 중학교 2, 3학년 학생들을 대상으로 수업을 실시하였다. 색채 학습 후 디자인을 연계 학습한 학생들의 평가에서는 색채 수업을 실시하지 않은 학급에 비하여 높은 평가 결과를 얻을 수 있었다. 대부분의 학생들이 수업에 흥미를 느끼며 성실한 태도로 재미있게 수업에 임하였고 그 효과성은 학생들의 결과물인 디자인 작품과 설문 조사를 통하여 입증되었다. 본 연구를 통하여 색채란 디자인의 기초가 될 뿐만 아니라 무한한 표현 영역의 한 부분이며 우리 삶 속에서 중요한 미의 요소로 자리매김한 하나의 영역으로서 학교 수업 현장에서 다양하고 깊이 있는 색채 교육의 필요성을 강조한다. 이와 같이 생활 속에서 색채를 이해하고 표현하여 아름다운 색을 사용할 수 있는 능력을 길러줌으로써 우리나라 앞날의 디자인 시장에 미력하나마 도움이 되기를 희망한다.; In the thesis, documents are investigated, practical classes are carried out and the results of the classes are analyzed in order to examine the effects of studying colors on practical designing process. First, the seventh art education curriculum and the theoretical background of the domain of basic design color are studied with various document researches. Among those, the origins, the purposes and the actual conditions of color education at middle schools in South Korea are investigated. Through these methods, the present conditions of the art curriculum on the domain of color at current middle schools are examined, and the problems and solutions to such problems are proposed as follows. First, reference books and related materials that can serve as a guidance to color education should be developed. Second, it is necessary to train teachers suitable to the domain of basic design color through measures such as providing more training opportunities to them. Third, considering the importance and the relative weight of an art curriculum, the number of classes should be increased. By improving and solving out the above problems, desirable results of color education among middle school students at their adolescence will be anticipated. Moreover, to emphasize the necessity of color education, color educational programs are proposed after analyzing the domain of basic design color curriculum of the present middle schools, and classes were carried out for second and third grade middle school students at the educational institutions where secondary school design educations are performed. The students who studied design after learning colors showed more positive evaluation results than those who did not take color classes. Most of the students were interested in the class and they participated sincerely with great interests. The effectiveness of the class is demonstrated by the design works which are the products of the students and by the surveys. Through this study, the necessity of a diverse and thorough color education at school classes is emphasized, as color is not only the foundation of a design, but also a part of the domain of unlimited expressions and a domain that has secured a position in our lives as an important factor of a beauty. Through such education, I hope that the students will develop the ability to use and apply beautiful colors by understanding and expressing colors and that, although it might have little influence, this will contribute to Korea's future design market.
