효과적인 디지털 판화 수업 연구

Abstract

판화는 사진기와 컴퓨터의 발명이 있기 전까지, 정보의 대량 생산과 보급을 위한 인쇄 매체로써 발달하기 시작하였다. 즉, ‘판’이라는 매체를 통하여 고유한 원본을 다량으로 복제하던 것이 판화의 시작이었다. 하지만 현대에 와서 판화는 더 이상 복제의 수단이 아닌 창작 판화로써, 다른 예술 작품과 구별되는 독자적인 예술 장르로써 자리잡아가고 있다. 특히 최근의 현대 판화의 흐름은 고도화된 기술과 세련된 감각을 접목시켜 전통 기법의 판화에서 벗어나 새로운 방법들을 활용하는 등 판화의 발전을 위한 다양한 시도들도 이루어지고 있다. 본 연구는 이러한 현대 판화의 흐름 아래 현행 중학교 교육과정의 판화 교육 내용에 기초하여 디지털 판화 수업 방안을 제시하고자 함에 그 목적이 있다. 그리하여 먼저 현행 중학교 판화 교육과정을 1~3학년까지 7개 출판사의 검정 교과서를 바탕으로 살펴본 결과, 전통 판법에만 의존하는 내용들로 구성되어 있음을 알 수 있었다. 이와 같은 결과는 교과서에 실린 판화 도판에서도 나타났는데, 볼록판화, 오목판화, 평판화, 공판화의 전통 판법에 속하지 않는 판화 도판은 전체 학년의 판화 도판 136점 중 1점에 불과했다. 따라서 본 연구는 중학교 판화 교육과정의 이와 같은 문제점에 대한 개선 방향으로써 디지털 판화 수업 방안을 제시하고자 한다. 디지털 판화의 기법은 다음과 같은 2가지로 정리해볼 수 있다. 첫째, 디지털 카메라로 찍은 이미지나 포토샵이나 일러스트레이터, 태블릿 등의 컴퓨터 그래픽을 이용하여 제작한 이미지를 디지털 프린트로 출력 하는 방법이 있으며, 둘째, 아날로그 판법과 디지털 판법을 결합하여 전통판법과 소통하는 방법이 있다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 2가지의 디지털 판화 기법을 토대로 교수-학습 지도안을 만들고 예시 도판을 실어 이해를 돕고자 하였다. 특히 디지털 판화 기법은 기존의 판화 도구에서 벗어나 새로운 매체를 사용한다는 점에서, 디지털 카메라 등을 이용한 학생의 일상적인 경험이 판화의 소재가 될 수 있다는 점에서 학생들의 흥미를 유발시킬 수 있으며, 또한 손 기능의 부족에서 오는 표현력의 한계를 컴퓨터 그래픽 도구를 통해 극복시킬 수 있다는 점에서 장점이 있다. 그리하여 결론적으로 본 연구를 디지털 판화에 대한 이해를 돕고, 판화 교육과정에 있어 효과적인 디지털 판화 수업 방안을 위한 자료로써 제시하고자 한다.; Engraving started to be developed as one of print media for mass production and distribution of information before the invention of camera and computer. Namely, it was the beginning of engraving to reproduce unique originals in large quantity through the medium 'plate.' However, the engraving is not simply a method of reproduction today, but it has been evolved into a creative form of art, a unique art genre distinguished from other forms of art works. Especially, the trend of recent modern engraving has been combined with high technology and sophisticated sensibility; in doing so, it escaped from the graving with traditional methods and new methods and various attempts have been utilized for the development of engraving. The purpose of this study was to suggest a method of digital engraving class based on the content of engraving education in current educational curriculum of middle school under the trend of such modern engraving. In this regard, this study looked closely into the educational curriculum of current middle school engraving based on officially authorized textbooks from 7 publishing companies, it has been noted that their contents were mainly composed of conventional engraving methods. Such a result could be found in the illustrations of engraving in the textbooks and there was only 1 piece of engraving out of 136 that did not belong to conventional engraving methods such as relief process, etching, planography and silkscreen. Therefore, this study attempted to suggest a method of digital engraving class as improvement of such problems in middle school engraving educational curriculum. The techniques of digital engraving could be divided into two as in the following. First, there has been a method of outputting the images produced into digital print by using computer graphics such as image or Photoshop, tablet, etc. taken by digital camera. Second, there has been a method of communicating with traditional engraving techniques by combining analog and digital engraving techniques. Based on these two digital engraving techniques, this study attempted to help create a plan for teaching-learning instruction by inserting the exemplified illustrations. Especially, in terms that students could use digital engraving techniques with new media by escaping from existing engraving tools and their ordinary experiences of using digital camera could be the matter of engraving, it could excite their interest in it and it would be advantageous in terms of overcoming the limitations of expression with the lack of hand techniques through computer graphic tools. In conclusion, the researcher of this study would like to suggest it as data for the methods of effective digital engraving in helping students understand digital engraving in engraving educational curriculum.
