현대작곡기법을 활용한 교수학습 지도방안 연구

Abstract

현대음악은 시대의 변화에 의해 필연적으로 변화하고 발전하였다. 현대음악의 학습은 창의성의 계발과 다양한 문화와 악곡의 이해를 목적으로 하는 음악과 교육과정을 수행하는 데도 효과적으로 활용할 수 있는 부분이라 할 수 있다. 현대음악은 여러 세기에 걸쳐 이룩된 음악적 성장의 산물이며 앞으로 미래 음악의 기초가 되는 중요한 것임을 미루어 볼 때 현대음악을 교육의 현장에 어떻게 도입하고 접근시켜야 하는가 하는 문제는 중요한 과제이다. 그러나 20세기 음악어법으로 표현된 우리 시대의 작품은 학교 교육에서 외면당하고 있고 고전, 낭만주의 음악을 중심으로 지도하는 것이 현실이다. 과거의 음악교육에만 치우칠 것이 아니라 이 시대의 문화적 소산인 현대음악에도 관심을 가지고, 학교 음악교육에서 다른 시대의 음악과 적절한 비율이 되도록 가르쳐야 할 것이다. 본 연구는 학생들의 음악에 대한 포괄적이고 심미적인 안목을 기르기 위해 중학교 음악과 지도에 있어 20세기 현대음악 지도의 필요성과 20세기 현대음악의 다양한 작곡기법을 살펴보고 이러한 다양한 현대음악의 기법을 중학교 음악과 지도에서 활용할 수 있는 방법을 제시하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 또한 연구를 통하여 중학교 음악과 지도에 있어서 20세기 현대음악지도의 중요성과 다양한 작곡기법에 관한 문헌적 검토를 토대로 하여 20세기 현대음악 작곡기법 중에서 중학교 음악수업에 유용하다고 생각되는 몇 가지 기법을 선정하였고, 그 기법이 특징적으로 나타난 악곡을 소개함과 동시에 중학교 음악수업에서 활용하는 여러 가지 교수-학습방법을 고안하였다. 그리고 중학교 음악교육에서 현대음악의 작곡기법을 도입하여 다음과 같은 교육기능을 유도하고자 하였다. 첫째, 조성음악에만 길들어 있던 학생들에게 현대음악에 대한 이해를 높여 포괄적 음악성을 배양하도록 한다. 둘째, 소리에 대한 피상적인 이론이 아니라 직접적인 경험을 중요시하여 청각을 통한 음악의 미적 가능성을 탐구하는 능력을 키워주도록 한다. 셋째, 과거 기능 조성 체계에서 벗어나 새로운 음색을 시도하고, 독창적인 음악 구성요소를 탐색, 발견할 수 있는 실험정신을 길러주도록 한다. 현대음악은 음악자체가 탐구적이고 실험적인 성격이 강하기 때문에 현대음악이 지닌 음악표현의 다양성을 접하기 위해서는 학생과 교사 모두가 고정된 사고와 수업방식에서 벗어나 탐구적인 자세로 임해야 한다. 무엇보다 창의력 계발을 위한 20세기 음악기법을 도입한 음악 수업이 성공하기 위해서 교사는 현대음악에 많은 관심을 가지고 적극적으로 수업에 도입하려는 자세와 창조적 의욕을 발휘할 수 있는 분위기를 조성할 수 있어야 하겠다.; Contemporary music education is influenced by the current trend of modern music education and this is in the process of growing into more integrated from. Judging from the fact that the contemporary music is the product of the musical growth extended over several centuries and the foundation for the music of the future, it has to become an important issue for looking into has to introduce it to and connect it with the scene of the education. However, the contemporary musical works expressed in the 20th century musical equivalents have been virtually shunned by the school music instruction, which maintains traditional method of emphasizing on the classical and romantic music. It is recommended to give up a lopsided view on the contemporary music and to include it in the school curriculum to an appropriate proportion with the classic music in recognition that the modern music is the cultural product of the time. Under this circumstance, this study inquires into how important it is to include the 20th century music in the middle school music education by means of a concentrated research on some selections there by to introduce the selected music compositions with suggestions of various music instruction methods. The conclusive purpose of this study is to vitalize the following instructional functions through the introduction of the suggested compositional technique of the modern music for the middle school music class. First, it is to nurture the comprehensive musicality by means of enhancing the comprehension of the modern music for the middle school students who have been rather tamed by the tonal music. Second, it is to help them strengthen their capability of exploring musical appreciation by means of polished auditory sense through direct experiences but shunning off the superficial theory on sound. Third, it is to help them nature empirical spirit capable of searching for creative musical constituent elements by means of experimenting new tone colors free of the past functional compositions system. Since the modern music is strongly inquisitive and empirical in it's innate musical instinct, it is prerequisite for both the teacher and the student to assume researcher's attitude free of fixed concept as regarding musical instruction method in order to assess the variety of musical expressions futuristic of the modern music. First of all, those teachers who aspire to attain success in giving musical instruction on such music as assessing the 20th century musical techniques reflecting creative power should commit themselves with aggressiveness and deep interest in the modern music to creating atmosphere for accessing introduction of the modern music.
