피아노 기초 교재의 효과적 선정방안 연구

Abstract

오늘날 우리나라는 국민소득증대와 생활수준, 문화수준의 향상으로 사회가 변화되면서 조기교육의 필요성과 관심이 높아지며 강조되고 있다. 이러한 조기교육 중에서도 음악교육에 대한 관심이 제일 두드러지게 나타나는데 그 이유는 음악능력이 다른 능력에 비해 조기에 발달하기 때문이다. 그러므로 유아기에 음악능력을 계발한다는 것은 다른 어떤 교육보다 그 의의가 크며 그것은 모든 어린이가 어려서 음악교육을 받아 모두 뛰어난 전문 음악인이 되는 것이 아니라 음악의 기본적인 자세와 감성을 마련해주는데 그 의의가 있는 것이다. 음악교육 중에서도 피아노 교육은 아동들의 가장 중요한 부분을 차지하고 있으며, 아동들이 정확한 절대 음감을 갖게 하고, 음악을 순수하게 받아들이고 느낄 수 있게 해줌으로써 궁극적으로는 아동들의 정서 함양에 많은 도움을 준다. 그러므로 피아노 학습은 아동들의 음악성 개발에 미치는 교육적 효과가 지대함으로 아동의 연령과 신체적, 정신적 발달에 따른 적절한 시기의 교육으로 아동의 개성을 파악하여 보다 올바르고 효율적으로 음악적 감각을 키워주어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 피아노 교육을 할 때, 중심이 되는 피아노 교재연구를 통하여 학습자의 정신적, 신체적, 지적발달에 알맞은 교재를 선택하여 교육시키는 것에 목적을 두고 있다. 본 논문의 구성은 서론에서 연구의 목적을 논하고, 본론에서는 음악교육의 중요성과 음악교육에서도 세부적으로 들어가 피아노 교육의 중요성과 피아노 교재에 대한 역사적 고찰, 그리고 현행 피아노 기초 교재 활용양상과 교재를 선택하는 교사들의 자세에 대하여 논하였으며, 바이엘, 알프레드, 어드벤쳐 세 교재를 자세히 분석하였다. 분석결과로써는 바이엘의 장점으로 피아노 연주를 어떻게 시작했으면 좋을지 기본적인 것에서부터 순서와 계통을 따라 조직적인 연습을 할 수 있도록 짜여진 것을 들 수 있고, 단점으로는 교수법이 세상에 나온 시대가 독일 고전파의 전성기였기 때문에 그 내용이 극히 독일적이어서 약산 딱딱하여, 학습자의 지루함을 유발시킬 수 있다는 것이다. 알프레드의 장점으로는 조성 설명이 잘 되어 있고 레퍼토리가 다양한 점과 삽화를 삽입하여 학습자의 흥미를 유발한 것이며, 단점으로는 음색과 릴렉스 방법에 관한 구체적인 설명이 없고 창의력과 음악성 개발 부분이 빠져 있는 것이다. 어드벤쳐의 장점으로는 해부학을 바탕으로 한 릴렉스 교육으로 아름다운 음색을 갖게 도와주며, 교사의 듀엣반주로 풍부한 음악성을 길러준다는 점과 반주 CD가 있는 점이며, 단점으로는 클래식 명곡, 팝, 재즈로 이루어져 있어서 우리나라 정서에 조금은 맞지 않는다는 점이다. 본 논문은 각 교재를 분석하고, 교재에 대한 장 · 단점을 파악하여 학습자에게 적합한 교재를 선택하여 활용하는 방안에 그 목적을 두고 있다. 이런 목적들은 달성하기 위해서는 아동들이 흥미를 가지고 피아노 교육을 해나갈 수 있도록 관심 어린 지도와 꾸준한 연구가 필요하겠다.; As Korean society continues to develop caused by increase of GNP and improved level of living standard and culture, necessity and interest in early education is higher than ever before. In particular, interest in music education is higher than any other subjects because musical ability can be developed in early ages compared to other subjects. Therefore, developing musical capability of children is very important. It is meaningful to develop children's emotion and fundamental capability for music rather than making all children an outstanding musician. In particular, education for playing the piano is the most important in children's education because it can help children to develop their emotion by training them a perfect pitch and making them feel music truly. Since piano training has a big influence on development of children's musical capability, it is important to find out each child's personality and enhance musical capability more effectively and accurately by providing appropriate training depending on child's age and mental and physical development. This study aims to provide optimal training for children by selecting ideal textbooks based on their mental, physical and intellectual development. To this end, it is essential to conduct research on piano textbooks. Introduction of this study specifies the purpose of research. The main subject includes importance of music education, in particular, significance of piano training and historical research of piano textbooks, usage of current piano basic textbooks and teacher's considerations for selecting ideal textbooks. In addition, three textbooks of Bayer, Alfred and Adventure were analyzed in detail. From detailed analysis, advantages and disadvantages of each textbook was obtained as follows: Firstly, Bayer is systematically organized, providing how to begin playing the piano and how to practice playing the piano. On the other hand, Bayer was introduced from German classical music and its contents are not interesting, causing learners' boredom. Secondly, Alfred has good explanation about musical composition and various repertoires and illustrations, causing learners' excitement and interest. On the other hand, Alfred has no detailed explanation about tone colors and how to relax and does not include how to develop creativity and musical capability. Thirdly, Adventure helps to have beautiful musical colors through relax education based on anatomy and develop rich musical capability with teachers' duet accompaniment, along with support for CD accompaniment. On the other hand, Adventure does not meet our nation's unique emotion because it consists of classic, pop and jazz. This study is intended to analyze each textbook and find out pros and cons of each textbook, ultimately helping learners to select an ideal textbook. To this end, continued researches and careful teaching are necessary so that children can receive piano training with high interests.
