Abstract
A line is composed of lots of dots that are linked together. In a musical work, the notes chosen by composers are reconstructed into many different types of lines. Therefore, lines can be a medium which implies a musical language. The lines can be changed freely according to the emotions and thoughts of the composers and the impressions that the lines give us can be made differently. At this point, the lines have the form of curves instead of straights. The curves contain mobility and freedom in themselves. This is because the mobile curves can reflect well both the delicate changes of dots and the expression intentions of the composers and they are suitable to the musical expressions, The curves go through the process of circulation and the circulation is realized through the process of repetition. Humans continue to live by in a life of repetitive circulation. The circulation process exists itself in the emotions and thoughts of humans and, their everyday routines. The art can be an another language that expresses the life of humans and especially music has a high degree of symbolism and delivery power which represent the language with sounds. Therefore, musical works come to have different kinds of circulations curves. By the way, as the human lives are the continuation of delicate changes, music can be just a list of continuous simple sounds without the element of "change". The diversion in ideas can be a driving force which leads to changes and this causes musical works to have a diversity as well as a unity by repetition. The mobility of curves with changes can be a medium that help human lives and music to have the quality of diversity. My orchestral music, circulation curves] focuses on the meanings of circulation accomplished by the repetition and changes. I intend to discover the initial development of ideas and the process of circulation through the analysis of the work and think over the meanings from that.
