북독일 바로크 음악의 환상적 양식

Abstract

본 연구는 바로크 시대 북독일 오르간 음악의 가장 대표적인 작곡 기법인 ‘환상적 양식’(stylus phantasticus)을 고찰하는 목적으로 이루어졌다. 바로크 시대의 북독일은 이미 full pedal 연주가 가능한 훌륭한 오르간을 가지고 있었으며 스벨링크(Janpieterszoon Sweelinck, 1562-1621)를 시작으로 형성된 브룬스(Nikolaus Bruhns, 1665-1697), 툰더(Franz Tunder, 1614-1667), 뵘(Georg B?hm, 1661-1733), 뤼벡(Vincent Lubeck, 1654-1740) 등의 작곡가들이 활동한 북독일 악파의 음악적 성숙을 바탕으로 동시대의 다른 지역과는 다르게 자유롭고 환상적이며 스케일이 큰 오르간 작품들을 보여주고 있다. 본 논문의 1장에서는 바로크시대 북독일의 오르간 음악에 대해 살펴 보고 2장에서는 북독일 바로크 오르간 음악을 논할 때 음악적 특징과 함께 중요한 요소로 꼽히는 북독일의 오르간에 대해 구조적 특징을 연구 하였다. 본론의 3장은 환상적 양식의 본격적인 연구로 그 특징과 프레스코발디(Girolamo Frescobaldi, 1583-1643)로부터 북독일 악파에 이르기까지 환상적 양식의 영향에 대해 살펴본 후 환상적 양식으로 작곡된 북독일 악파의 곡들을 중심으로 환상적 양식의 구성에 대해 연구 하였다. 4장에서는 북독일 바로크 오르간 음악의 대표적 작곡가인 북스테후데(Dietrich Buxtehude,1637-1707)의 Toccata F -dur BuxWV 156 을 분석해 봄으로 작품 안에 나타난 환상적 양식의 구체적 모습을 살펴보았다.; "Stylus Phantasticus" of North Germany organ school is well-suited for expressing emotion and is known as the most dramatic and elegant style of Baroque music. This style exerts considerable liberty and volatility, but it doesn't seem overflowing nor chaotic with the help of hidden rules that form the very basis of the North German music. In this thesis I studied the features of Baroque Music of "North German school" and further explored the structure of "Stylus Phantasticus" in depth through the works of composers from "North German school" such as Buxtehude(Dietrich Buxtehude, 1637-1707), Bruhns(Nikolaus Bruhns, 1665-1697), and Bohm(Georg Bohm, 1661-1733). Chapter 1 starts by explaining the characteristics of Organ music of North German school in Baroque time and Chapter 2 studies the structural features of North German Organ. Chapter 3 studies the structure of "Stylus Phantasticus" in depth focusing on the musical pieces of North German School composers.
