Richard Strauss의 가곡 Op. 67 'Drei Lieder der Ophelia' 연구

Abstract

리햐르트 슈트라우스(Richard Strauss, 1864~1949)가 1918년에 작곡한 가곡 Op.67 《6개의 노래》(Sechs Lieder) 중 첫 세 곡은 〈오필리아의 세 개의 노래〉(Drei Lieder der Ophelia)라는 부제를 갖는다. 셰익스피어의 『햄릿』에서 오필리아가 아버지를 잃은 슬픔을 견디지 못해 실성하여 부르는 노래이다. 이 부분을 가사로 선택한 이유는 어머니가 정신병에 시달리는 것을 슈트라우스가 일생동안 지켜보아야 했던 것이 반영된 때문이라 할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 슈트라우스 후기 가곡의 특징과 Op. 67의 탄생 배경에 대해 알아보고, 이 작품의 분석을 통하여 오필리아의 광증이 음악으로 어떻게 표현되었는지를 살펴보았다.; The first three songs of Op. 67 《Sechs Lieder》 that Richard Strauss(1864-1949) composed in 1918 were <Drei Lieder der Ophelia>. These Ophelia's words in Shakespeare's 『Hamlet』 were sung when she became out of mind after her father's death. <Drei Lieder der Ophilia> reflects the mental diease of Strauss' mother that he should have gone through his whole life. In this paper, I studied Strauss' characteristic features of songs in his later period and the birth background of Op. 67. Moreover, through analysis of <Drei Lieder der Ophilia> I examined the musical languages that Strauss used to express Ophilia's insane state of mind.
