Abstract

국문 초록

본 논문은 18세기와 19세기 동안 이탈리아, 프랑스, 독일에서 발달한 오페라의 특성과 상호연관성에 대하여 살펴보았다. 특히 19세기 오페라의 비교를 위해 각 나라의 대표적인 오페라로 꼽히는 베르디의 <라 트라비아타>, 구노의 <파우스트>, 베버의 <마탄의 사수>를 예로 들어 살펴보았다. 이 세 오페라의 특성을 분석한 결과, 18세기에 확립된 다양한 나라별 특성과 더불어 지방색의 사용, 오케스트라의 효과적인 기법의 사용, 춤과 발레의 삽입, 그리고 합창역할의 확장 등과 같은 요소들이 이 세 나라의 상호 영향을 통하여 공통적으로 나타나는 것을 알 수 있었다. |ABSTRACT

A Comparative Study on Italian, French, and German Operas in the 19th-Century

The thesis focuses on the comparative study on Italian, French, and German operas in 18th and 19th centuries. For the study of the 19th-century opera, Verdi's <La traviata>, Gounod's <Faust>, and Weber's <Der Freisch&uuml; tz> were examined. According to the examination, in addition to the characteristic elements drawn from the national identities in the 18th-century, common elements were frequently found through the mutual influences of these countries such as: the use of local colors, of the diverse techniques for effective orchestral colors, the insertion of dance or ballet, and the extension of the roll of chorus.; ABSTRACT
