Abstract
Thermal decomposition was conducted to investigate degradation characteristics of Polypropylene (PP), Polystyrene (PS) and Polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA. Experiments were performed with changing a reaction temperature in order to obtain high yield of the oil products. The more the temperature was rising, the more the yields of oil were increasing steadily. The oil products were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively by GC and GC/MS equipment. As the results of these analyses, in case of PMMA and PS the selectivity of monomer was the highest, while that of PP was lower. There were mostly olefins and paraffins in PP product.
