Abstract
Many artificial models of light harvesting antenna systems have been synthesized in an attempt to understand the energy transport phenomena that occur in natural light harvesting complexes. In natural light harvesting systems, highly ordered pigment arrays serve to efficiently absorb photons and deliver their energy to the reaction center, which in turn initiates photosynthesis. Designing efficient light harvesting materials is an important goals, considering the need for effectively using renewable energy sources. Recently, dendrimers have been suggested as a potential scaffold for efficient artificial light harvesting antenna because of their well-defined three-dimensional structures, which makes it easy to introduce many light absorbing units in the branches of dendritic architecture. Herein we report a new series of magnetic cored dendrimer with carbazole (MCC) that have a magnetic core of energy storage.
