성인여성학습자의 진로장벽지각이 진로준비행동에 미치는 영향: 소명의식의 매개효과를 중심으로

Abstract

이 연구는 성인여성학습자의 진로장벽지각이 진로준비행동에 미치는 영향과 그에 대한 소명의식의 매개효과를 살펴보기 위한 것이다. 2017년 3∼5월, 고등평생교육기관에 재학 중인 성인여성학습자 348명을 대상으로 연구한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 성인여성학습자의 진로장벽이 높을수록 혹은 소명의식이 낮을수록 진로준비행동에 소극적이었다. 둘째, 성인여성학습자의 소명의식은 진로장벽이 진로준비행동에 미치는 영향을 완전 매개하였다. 셋째, 향후 진로계획에 따라 소명의식의 매개효과가 달랐는데, 현재 직업을 유지하고자 하는 경우에는 소명의식이 진로장벽과 진로준비행동의 관계를 완전 매개하는 한편, 구직 혹은 직업변경 계획이 있는 경우에는 소명의식이 진로장벽과 진로준비행동의 관계를 부분적으로 매개하였다. 연구결과를 바탕으로, 성인여성학습자의 진로교육 및 진로상담에 주는 시사점과 향후 연구 방향을 논의하였다.This study aims to investigate how female adult learners’ career barrier affect their career preparation, and whether their calling can mediate the relationship. 348 Korean female adult learners in higher education participated in the study and main findings are as follows. First, female adult learners’ career preparation was negatively associated with career barrier but positively related with calling. Second, female adult learners’ calling completely mediated the effect of career barrier on career preparation. Third, the mediating effect of calling, however, was dependent on future career plan – whether they want to retain their current jobs or to seek for a new job. Implications on career counseling and education for female adult learners and further research directions were discussed.
