- Abstract
- As required to support a variety of multimediaand telematics services in the automotive industry, the IEEE802.1 AVB standard, which can ensure the communication speedup to 10Gbps by applying to Ethernet to the IVN (In-vehicleNetwork), was published in 2013. In addition, as the research ofautonomous driving is accelerated, the IEEE 802.1 TSN (TimeSensitive Network) standard, which can ensure the QoS andtransmission rate of control data related to the safety of driver, isnewly added and under the publication process. However, AVBor TSN standard has an isolated characteristic, such as anexisting home or industrial network and doesn’t cover thenecessity to communicate with the outside. So, those standardshave limitations in the extension of the new communicationsystem utilizing the mobility of vehicles. Therefore, we propose amethod to extend existing closed IVN network using vehicle’smobility and V2X communication in this paper. It enablesinterworking between different TSN networks based on wirelesscommunication. Moreover, we proposed a way to utilize on theroad so that the alarm messages related to the safety can betransmitted in microsecond unit of time through interworkingeach vehicle’s TSN network. It is expected that the braking safetydistance of the vehicle can be secured more than the conventionalmillisecond unit of time. Using this methods, the existing V2X canbe linked to IVN and it will create a safer autonomous drivingenvironment
