dc.description.abstract | This paper proposes an axial flux dual stator topology of multipole synchronous machine (AFMSM). The single stator single rotor radial flux model of variable flux multipole synchronous machine has already been developed and analyzed [1], [2]. Performance of the proposed machine is analyzed by 3D transient finite element analysis (FEA) and compared with its counterpart radial flux multipole synchronous machine [RFMSM] [2]. The proposed topology has the advantage of higher torque to volume ratio. Furthermore, the effect of rotor pole I.e. general and sinusoidal shape was studied and their respective performance was compared . | - |
