서울 시내버스 노선도에 관한 연구

Abstract

대중교통 수단인 버스는 노선도를 통해 정보를 주고 받으며, 짧은 시간에 정확한 정보를 이해하기 쉽게 제공하여 이용자들의 편의를 고려해야한다. 본 연구에서 서울 시내버스 노선도 문제점 여부와 개선방법을 알아보기 위해 국외사례로 대중교통 시스템이 체계화되어있는 국외나라 중 미국 뉴욕, 프랑스 파리, 영국런던을 선정하여 분석하였다. 분석결과를 서울 시내버스를 이용하는 이용자 대상으로 설문조사를 통해 검증하고 현재 서울 시내버스 노선도에 대한 문제점 및 개선방법을 알아보았다. 이용자들이 노선도를 이해하기어려운 요소로 하나의 노선에서 두 개의 노선으로 나뉘어졌다 다시 합쳐지는 레이아웃을 꼽았고, 타이포그래피의 여백, 크기에 대한 가독성 결여에 대한 문제점을 지적했다. 시내버스 노선도에 주변지명을 표기하면노선이해에 도움이 될 수 있을 것으로 생각하였다. 또한, 현재 사용되고 있는 노선도 U자형과 I자형에 대한 차이점은 과반수이상의 사람들이 모르고 있음을 알 수있었다. 현재 서울 시내버스 노선도 개선을 위해 하나의 노선도 유형으로 통일시키고, 하나의 노선 레이아웃으로 하고 타이포그래피의 가독성을 높여 시각적 정보혼란을 최소화하여야 한다. 본 연구를 통해 향후 서울 시내버스 노선도 개선에 도움이 되고자 하는 바람이다.

A bus as public transportation is a means of transport, exchanging information through the bus route map; the providers need to consider the convenience of users with providing precise information and data the users can easily understand in a short period of time. In this study, the city of New York the United States, Paris France, London England where they have systematized public transportation had selected as foreign cases and analysed the cities in order to look into the problem of Seoul’s city bus route map and the improvement way for the problem. The result of the analysis through the survey had verified targeting on the users who take Seoul``s city bus and figured out the problem of the current route map of Seoul’s city bus and the improvement way. The users pointed out the layout, which one line is divided into two lines and the lines are combined later, as the difficult element when they try to understand the map. And they mentioned the problem on the lack of legibility of the size and margin of typography. The marking area information on the route map of the city bus will help the users to understand the route. In addition to that, The majority of users don’t know the difference between the route map of Type U and Type I which are currently used. In order to improve the current route map of Seoul’s city bus, the providers have to unify them into a single route map type and a single route layout and minimize the visual information confusion with enhancing the legibility of the typography. Hope to help with the improvement of the route map for the Seoul’s city bus later through this study.
