dc.description.abstractThis study presents thermal condition around trees to design and manage for architectural landscape in apartment buildings. The site for field test is located in Ansan, Korea. Three main factors, daylight, temperature and relative humidity for planting, is tested for 3 months from June to August. The degree of screening daylighting(SD) is calculated using to the difference of daylighting between shading space below tree and uncontrolled. The highest percentage of SD is at 92.1 in shading space under Acer palmatum Thunb, that height is 5.4m and crown diameter is 3.2m. The SD value of Acer pictum subsp is the lowest at 40.9%. The temperature and the relative humidity under tree drops by 6.4℃ and increases by 18.9%. The results shows that the SD of trees can be used to estimate the change of plant growth condition.en_US
