dc.description.abstract | The purpose of this paper is to evaluate the performance of evaporative cooling assisted internally cooled type liquid desiccant unit. The internally cooled type liquid desiccant (ICLD) consists of two channels: primary air and working air channels. Lithium chloride (LiCl) solution and water are sprayed to process air and working air channels respectively. In the primary air channel, absorption of water vapor from process air is conducted by vapor pressure difference between air and solution. As the water evaporated in the working air channel, the sensible cooling is conducted in the primary air channel. In this paper, air flow rate in the working air channel was considered as a variable to affect the performance of an internally cooled type LD. As the variable was changed, dehumidification efficiency and humidity ratio difference were measured. Humidity ratio difference and dehumidification efficiency ,in the case of air flow 350ƋÐîƆ in the working channel, showed better performance compared with others. | en_US |
