This paper compares the tracking performances of joint integrated track splitting (JITS) and integrated track splitting (ITS) used in a splitting target tracking scenario. In the splitting target tracking scenario, the target splits into two parts at random time. Both JITS and ITS are designed for tracking with multi-scan data association which treat the splitting as a birth event of a new target.en_US
