Nowadays, as the increase of Carbon-dioxide emitted by automobiles is an important cause of global warming, many research and development efforts are being made to reduce the Carbon-dioxide emission, making a lightweight vehicle is increased the fuel efficiency of the vehicle. One of the most popular ways to lighten the product is using composite materials. Among them, fiber reinforced composite materials are most widely used, included thermosetting resins and thermoplastic resins. Mainly thermosetting resin is popular. The thermosetting resin has better mechanical properties than thermoplastic resin and has a property of not dissolving when heat is applied. However, there is a great advantage that thermoplastic resins can be recycled, the tendency is changing to use thermoplastic resins. The thermoplastic resin ELIUM developed by Arkema is recyclable and has high material propeties as well as thermosetting resin. In this study, various composites and ELIUM composites were compared. First, Mechanical properties of Carbon/ELIUM and Carbon/Polyester were compared. Second, the impact behavior of ELIUM composite and Epoxy composite were also compared. Finally, based on this, Carbon/ELIUM subframe chassis part was made by using ELIUM resin.-
