- 남극 지의류 Stereocaulon alpinum에서 분리된 로바릭산 및 그 유도체들의 전합성에 관한 연구를 완료하였다. Pseudodepsidone구조를 가지는 로바린은 Ullmann aryl ether coupling을 주 반응으로 하여 11단계로 합성하였다. 합성된 로바린에서 추가로 7각 락톤화 반응을 포함한 3단계의 합성을 수행하여 로바릭산의 전합성을 완성하였다. 합성된 로바릭산에서 로바스틴 및 메틸 로바린으로 변형이 가능하였으며 로바릭산 및 유도체들은 천연물에서 얻은 동일구조의 화합물들과 마찬가지로 우수한 PTP1B 억제활성을 보인다.
