클래식 음악 감상활동이 유아의 음악적성에 미치는 효과

Abstract

본 연구의 목적은 클래식 음악 감상활동이 유아의 음악적성에 미치는 효과를 살펴보는 것이다. 연구목적에 따른 연구문제는 다음과 같다.

1. 클래식 음악 감상활동이 유아의 음악적 적성(가락, 리듬)에 미치는 효과는 어떠한가? 1-1 클래식 음악 감상활동이 유아의 가락에 미치는 효과는 어떠한가? 1-2 클래식 음악 감상활동이 유아의 리듬감에 미치는 효과는 어떠한가?

본 연구대상은 경상북도 G시에 소재한 D유치원 만 5세 유아 56명을 대상으로 하였으며, 그 중 실험집단 유아 28명과 통제집단 28명으로 선정하였다. 실험 처치는 실험집단 유아들에게 클래식 음악 감상활동을 6주간 오전 자유선택활동 시간에 약 20분 동안 1주에 2회씩 총 12회에 걸쳐 실시하였다. 문화예술교육사 자격증을 소지한 본 연구자가 실시하였고, 통제집단은 실험집단과 동일한 생활주제에 맞추어 개인별 자유선택활동 시 진행하였다. 본 연구에서 음악적성을 측정하기 위해서 사용한 도구는 현경실(2016)이 개발한 유아 음악적성 검사(Kids' Music Aptitude Test, Kids' MAT) 도구를 사용하였으며, 실험집단과 통제집단의 평균점수 변화를 분석하기 위해 독립표본 t검증과 대응표본 t검증을 실시하였다. 마지막으로 클래식 음악 감상활동이 유아의 음악적성(가락, 리듬)에 미치는 효과에 대한 효과크기(effect size)를 살펴보기 위하여 Hedges'g 값을 산출하였다.

본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다.

첫째, 클래식 음악 감상활동이 유아의 음악적성(가락, 리듬)에 미치는 효과를 알아본 결과, 실험집단의 유아들은 통제집단의 유아들보다 음악적성에서 더 높은 평균점수의 변화를 보였으며, 이는 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 클래식 음악 감상활동이 유아의 가락적성에 미치는 효과를 알아본 결과, 실험집단의 유아들은 통제집단의 유아들보다 가락적성에서 더 높은 평균점수의 변화를 보였으며, 이는 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 클래식 음악 감상활동이 유아의 리듬적성에 미치는 효과를 알아본 결과, 실험집단의 유아들은 통제집단의 유아들보다 리듬적성에서 더 높은 평균점수의 변화를 보였으며, 이는 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다.

이러한 결과를 볼 때 클래식 음악 감상활동이 유아의 음악적성(가락, 리듬) 증진에 효과가 있었음을 알 수 있다.; The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of classical music appreciation activity on musical aptitude young children. The research question selected according to the purpose of the research are as follows.

1. What is the effect of classical music appreciation activity on musical aptitude of young children? 1-1. What is the effect of classical music appreciation activity on tune aptitude of young children? 1-2 What is the effect of classical music appreciation activity on rhythm aptitude of young children?

The subjects in this study were 56 young children, five years old in western age, D kindergartens located in Gyeongsanbuk-do G city. 28 young children were selected as an experimental group, and 28 young children were selected as a control group. an experiment was conducted by letting the experimental group participate in the program 12 times, twice a week, about 20 minute each, during a 6-week period of time in optional class in the morning. the program was conducted by researcher, and the control group engaged in free activities about the same themes of life that were covered in the program which experimental group participated in. The musical aptitude test used in this study was Kids' MAT(Kids' Music Aptitude Test) developed by Hyun Gyeong-sil(2016), Independent-samples t-test and paired-samples t-test were utilized to see any possible changed in musical aptitude. lastly, Hedges'g values were calculated examine the effect size of the classical music appreciation activities on young children musical aptitude that are sub-elements of tune, rhythm. The findings of the study as follows: First, as a result of analyzing the effect of classical music appreciation activities on the musical aptitude of young children, the experimental group showed greater changes than the control group in term of average musical aptitude(tune, rhythm). The gaps between the group hold statistical significance. Second, as a result of analyzing the effect of classical music appreciation activities on the tune aptitude of young children, the experimental group showed greater changes than the control group in term of average tune aptitude. Third, as a result of analyzing the effect of classical music appreciation activities on the rhythm aptitude of young children, the experimental group showed greater changes than the control group in term of average rhythm aptitude. The gaps between the group hold statistical significance.

According to this research, classical music appreciation activities are effective in increasing musical aptitude(tune, rhythm) on the young children.
