We would like to thank Dr. Xue for the helpful comments on our study. We completely agree that increasing the lifting force on the GlideScope® (VerathonInc, Bothell, WA) would create more space and would prevent the GlideScope® blade and forceps from interfering with one another, which would make laryngeal foreign bodies easier to remove. We also agree with Dr. Xue and colleagues that specially designed forceps, such as Boedeker intubation forceps (Karl Storz GmbH & Co. KG, Tuttlingen, Germany), could provide the operator with a better view of the working end of the forceps.en_US
