Abstract
A novel single-inductor multiple-output (SIMO)DC-DC converter with bidirectional sequencecontrol to improve the cross-regulation is presentedin this paper. In the proposed DC-DC converter, thepower switches of outputs are turned on by forwardand reverse sequences alternately and the chargedistribution order of each output is equalized in twooperating cycles. A range of input voltage is from 2.8V to 4.2 V and the five regulated output voltages are1.0 V, 1.2 V, 1.6 V, 1.8 V and 2.5 V, respectively. Theproposed DC-DC converter was simulated by usinga 0.18 μm CMOS process technology with highvoltage devices of 5 V. Simulation results show thatcross-regulation in the proposed DC-DC converteris improved by 29.1% when load current of the firstoutput is changed from 100 mA to 200 mA.
