Part 1. Structural and Mechanistic Revision for Gold-Catalyzed Cyclization of Two Propargylic Carboxylates In previous researches, we presented mechanism for the gold-catalyzed cyclization of two propargylic carboxylates and obtained conclusion on the formation of seven-membered rings. However, X-ray structure analysis of the products from the gold-catalyzed reaction of two propargylic carboxylates revealed that it was a benzene ring rather than a seven membered ring. Therefore, in this study, we have revised the existing mechanism and modified the structure of the previously synthesized product. Part 2. Synthesis of Oxygen-Bridged Polycycle via Intermolecular [3+2] Cyclization by Pt-Catalysis We previously reported a Pt-catalyzed intermolecular [3+2] cyclization of 2-alkynylbenzaldehyde and various alkene to synthesize diverse seven-membered carbocycles. This reaction has been extended to reaction of 4,4'-di(hex-1-yn-1-yl)-[1,1'-biphenyl]-3,3'-dicarbaldehyde and cyclohexene.-
