Abstract
Various Research Method of Interior design has been developed to identify potential needs and perform in-depth analysis of user behavior. Lots of researchers has pointed out that Questionnaire survey could have initiative limitation for measuring user satisfaction and needs exactly in the case of object characteristic(old people or children). Therefore, in this study, we have tried to measure the user experience using Kano Model frame and presented the possibility that can be applied to the other interior design study. As first step, we introduced definition and classification of KANO Model and suggest possible framework that can be applied to interior design study. After that, we have performed single experiment with 3 elderly people. The behavior of the elderly were recorded by video recording. After that, twice in-depth interview have been done to analyze User's spatial experience and sort out in the point of KANO Model. The results of this study as follows. 2 Attractive factors, 5 One-Dimensional factors, 9 Must-Be factors, and 1 Reverse factor was founded. Further studies could be expanded to other space and stakeholders(staff, children, etc.). We strongly recommend KANO Model to adopt to other user analysis research related with interior design study.
