Abstract
This paper aims to develop an application for visualizing the energy consumption of residential buildings surrounding Seoul metropolitan subway stations. A intuitively visualized data is the best method for data delivery which includes the context of the information. Unlike a quantative fragments of information, visualized information can be help to understand an issue in a macroscopic view. It is essential in the areas which needs an comprehensive understanding about the issue like urban development or residential environment. Transit-oriented development(TOD) can be an example for the that. It needs integrated understanding of diverse related information. On this, this research developed an visualization application for energy consumption and tried to understand the pattern and context of data by visualizing the data with intuitive visual elements.
