무엇이 모험성 레크리에이션을 지속하게 하는가? -플로우와 중독의 관계를 중심으로-

Abstract

본 연구는 2005년부터 2012년까지의 49개국으로 부터의 방한 관광 수요함수를 도출하고, 도출된 수요함수로부터 실질해외소득과 실질환율 변수를 설명 변수로, 외환위기를 도구변수로하는 패널모형을 실증분석모형으로 구축하여 실증분석 하였다. 그룹패널 평균 FMOLS 분석결과의 해외실질 소득계수와 해외실질환율 계수가 각각 0.8462, 0.5976으로 나타나 비탄력적인 것으로 밝혀졌다. 이는 해외실질소득과 환율이 상승한다 해도 해외방한 관광객 수 증가는 크지 않다는 것을 의미한다. 국가간 이질성을 고려할 경우 아시아 국가들과 중동국가 그리고 미주의 미국, 브라질, 칠레 등의 소득탄력성은 탄력적인 반면 외환탄력성은 비탄력적이거나 유의적이지 않은 것으로 나타났다. 이는 이들 국가에 있어 한국의 관광상품은 사치재의 성격을 갖는 것을 의미한다. 반면 대양주나 아프리카 국가의 소득 탄력성은 비탄력적이거나 유의적이지 않은 반면 외환탄력성이 큰 것으로 나타나 이들 지역은 한국의 관광상품이 가격경쟁력이 있음을 알 수 있다. 그러나 구주의 노르웨이를 제외하고 다른 국가들은 소득탄력성과 외환탄력성이 비탄력적이거나 이론과 반대의 부호를 갖거나 유의적이지 않은 것으로 나타났다.In order to understand behavior of adventure recreationists, this study explored their flow experiences and addictive behaviors. Previous studies on outdoor recreation only provided the positive side of recreation within flow experiences. However, addictive behavior can also arise in recreation experiences in which recreationists have lost control. This study therefore examined the relationship between the flow experience and addictive behavior. Through a structural equation model of flow experience, addictive behavior and continuous participation showed that higher flow experience indicated more addictive behavior in adventure recreation. Moreover, flow experience was affected by continuous participation. However, addictive behavior was not affected by continuous participation. The reason is that for addictive behavior in adventure recreation, there is a tendency to want to enjoy the recreational activity on one’s own. In other words, continuous participation, including social participation, was not affected by addictive behavior in adventure recreation. Adventure recreation management, and planning the flow experience, must be considered.
