Abstract
「SPECIAL ACT ON ACTIVATION AND SUPPORT OF URBAN REGENERATION」 was enacted to promote urban regeneration processes in 2013. However, conflicts with existing laws and confusions on the execution can be occurred due to the enactment of new law. Thus, now that the enforcement ordinances and enforcement regulations are not yet published, it is required to examine whether there are conflict with existing laws such as 「SPECIAL ACT ON THE PROMOTION OF URBAN RENEWAL」 and 「SPECIAL ACT ON ACTIVATION AND SUPPORT OF URBAN REGENERATION」. The purpose of this study is to suggest Improvement Direction by reviewing 「SPECIAL ACT ON THE PROMOTION OF URBAN RENEWAL」 and comparing with 「ACT ON SPECIAL MEASURES CONCERNING URBAN RECONSTRUCTION」 of Japan. For this purposes, firstly, this study will figure out policies and achievements of 「ACT ON SPECIAL MEASURES CONCERNING URBAN RECONSTRUCTION」 in Japan. Secondly, a comparative analysis will be conducted between two laws; 「ACT ON SPECIAL MEASURES CONCERNING URBAN RECONSTRUCTION」 of Japan and 「SPECIAL ACT ON THE PROMOTION OF URBAN RENEWAL」 of Korea. This can contribute to improve our understanding and to suggest the direction for urban regeneration policies.
