읽기와 독서 교육과정이 나아갈 길

Abstract

본 연구는 독서 및 읽기 교육을 삶으로서의 독서활동이 이루어지는 독서교육과 교육을 위한 독서활동이 이루어지는 독서 교육으로 나누어질 수 있다고 보고, 전자를 목적 중심의 독서 교육, 후자를 목표 중심의 독서 교육으로 구분하였다. 그리고 두 교육의 결정적인 차이는 실제성에 있다. 이러한 실제성은 독서 교육의 핵심 원리로 볼 수 있는데, 실제성을 확보하기 위해서는 목적 중심으로 독서 교육을 접근하는 것이 타당하다. 한편 현재까지의 독서 교육과정은 목표 중심적이었다고 할 수 있는데, 이러한 교육과정은 기능이나 전략을 중심으로 접근함으로써 실제적 독서활동으로 연계되기 어려웠다. 따라서 실제적 독서 활동이 이루어지기 위해서는 현재의 교육과정과 같은 합리적, 하향식 방식에서 상향식으로 개선될 필요가 있다. 그리고 이러한 틀의 마련에는 워커 등이 주장한 자연주의적 모형이 많은 시사점을 줄 수 있을 것이다. This study divides reading education into two categories - reading activities as a life and intentional reading instruction. The former can be called purpose-oriented education, and the latter can be called goal-oriented education. The decisive difference between the two education type is authenticity. For the authentic reading instruction, it to the most principle that reading activity has context and function. On the other hand, conventional reading education was a goal-oriented education. Therefore it difficult to be made a authentic reading activities. Because reading curriculum to focus on skills and strategies. For the fulfillment authentic reading education, reading curriculum have to change from top-down approach to bottom-up approach. And for settlement of purpose-oriented education, the naturalistic model will give a lot of implications.
