| dc.description.abstract | IT산업 내에서 60% 이상을 차지하는 SI 프로젝트는 그 성공률이 다른 산업의 프로젝트에 비해 낮다. 그 이유는 프로젝트 결과물이 눈에 보이지 않는 소프트웨어이기 때문에 사용자의 요구사항이 자주 변함에 따라 프로젝트의 범위가 변화하여 일정, 소요비용, 투입자원에 영향을 끼치기 때문이다. SI 프로젝트 성공의 중요한 요인인 범위 관리 활동은 주로 사용자와 프로젝트를 수행하는 프로젝트 매니저(Project Manager)의 커뮤니케이션으로 수행된다.본 연구는 SI 프로젝트의 경험을 가진 프로젝트 매니저들의 커뮤니케이션 유형을 조사하고, 그들이 경험한 프로젝트에서의 고객, 즉 사용자의 유형과 해당 프로젝트에서의 범위 증가에 대한 영향을 조사한 것이다. IT산업분야에서 오랜 기간 SI 프로젝트를 수행한 경험자들에게 설문을 요청했으며, 총 50개의 설문이 회수되었다. 응답된 설문을 분석한 결과 프로젝트매니저와 고객인 사용자들의 커뮤니케이션 유형은 개별적으로는 SI 프로젝트의 범위증가에 영향을 주지 않았으나, 두 그룹의 커뮤니케이션 유형 중에서 특정한 형태가 서로 만나서 상호작용할 때 프로젝트 범위증가에 영향을 미치는 것으로 파악되었다. 따라서 프로젝트를 수행하는 프로젝트 매니저의 개별적인 커뮤니케이션 스타일은 SI 프로젝트 범위에 영향을 미치지 않으나 어떤 고객을 상대하느냐에 따라 프로젝트 범위에 영향을 미칠 수 있으므로 고객의 커뮤니케이션 스타일에 따라 그에 맞는 프로젝트 매니저를 선임하던가, 또는 프로젝트 매니저가 고객에 적합한 커뮤니케이션 방식을 사용하는 것이 프로젝트의 성공에 영향을 미친다는 것을 알 수 있다.Description (Translated) | en_US |
| dc.description.sponsorship | SI projects comprise 60% of all projects in IT industry. The success ratio of SI projects is lower compared to other industries. The reason is that the intangibility of the project product, which is software, leads customers to change the requirements of the project frequently, and as a consequence affects the project scope, schedule and cost. The scope management is an important factor for the SI project success, and mainly performed through project manager and/or part leader’s communication.This research attempted to analyze the communication styles of project managers/part leaders and customers, and investigated whether the communication styles had any impact on the scope management of the SI projects. We surveyed project managers and part leaders who had experience in SI projects, and collected 50 questionnaires for analysis.The results show that the communication styles of the project managers and part leaders, when analyzed separately, did not have significant impact on the scope of SI projects. Neither did the communication styles of the customers. However, certain communication styles from the two groups interacts and can have impact on the scope of the SI project. That is, there is a very high possibility of project scope increase when a project manager with cooperative communication style meets a customer with self-centered communicatin style.Therefore it may be necessary that project managers need to adopt a proper communication style depending on the customer’s communication styles in order to reduce the possibility of scope changes for SI projects. | en_US |
