dc.description.abstractObjective: This study was done to explore the essence and meaning of the experience of the student who has started studying late in nursing. Methodology: Data was collected through in-depth informal interview and analyzed following Colaizzi method, in which meaningful statements were extracted. Result: As a result, 5 theme clusters identified were ‘beginning of the change’, ‘overcoming the challenge’, ‘conflict’, ‘change in life’, and ‘expectation for the future’. Student who has started studying late in nursing require policies to provide child-care services for older students or government programs involving the dispatching of babysitters. It was recommended to develop assistance programs and job-matching programs to address the needs of student who has started studying late.en_US
