dc.description.abstractThis article investigate Salafi Islamic factor in Dagestan Republics of the Russian Federation examining particularly Salafism and its process in the North Caucasus. This paper aims to evaluate political surroundings and political dispute between Russian Federation and Dagestan fundamental Islamists. Above all I mainly dealt with the meaning of the Salafi ideology. Salafism is the accepted, yet technically inaccurate term for a kind of Islam that emerged in the Dagestan during the late 1980s and spread after the collapse of the Soviet Union. Salafists actively oppose both Dagestani government and Sufi brotherhoods. Chapter II review historic Islam in Dagestan. Chapter III investigate Salafi Islam"s ideology and its process.en_US
