기호학파와 영남학파 서원의 풍수적 특징비교분석

Abstract

In this study, the difference of Fengshui feature between Ki-ho school(畿湖學派) and Yong-nam school(嶺南學派) of 21 Seo-won that have well been managed and preserved their original shape of all 47 will be studied by means of field work and literature survey. Ki-ho school which had a view of Ju-Chi theory(主氣論; a philosophy that the origin of the universe is not abstract Li(理) but physical Chi(氣)) had their own education program against Yong-nam school which represented Ju-Li theory(主理論). Also, Yong-nam school Seo-won that located only in Yong-nam area of South Korea was mainly set on slope side of mountain and took good place with the view of Feng shui. On the other hand, Ki-ho school Seo-won that seperated in wide area, Kyeong-ki, Choong-cheong and Ho-nam, was mainly located on flatland and does not take good place. And some Seo-won built in the other side area was constructed by being considered the situation and problem of the school faced. To select Seo-won location, the two show precise difference according to their own academic tendency, topographic difference and political situation. Therefore, Fengshui was non-negligible factor to construct Seo-won. Seo-won also reflects the interest for good place at that time.
