프로스포츠팬의 외국인선수 제도에 대한 인식 및 인종적 태도

Abstract

본 연구는 외국인선수가 활동하는 프로스포츠를 중심으로 외국인선수 제도에 대한 인식과 인종적 태도의 차이가 존재하는지를 밝히고 프로스포츠팬들의 인식과 태도 변화를 연구하고자하며 한국사회의 다문화 발전 과정에서 프로스포츠의 역할분석을 위한 기초자료를 제시하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이와 같은 목적을 달성하기 위해 국내 4대 프로스포츠인 프로야구, 프로축구, 프로농구, 프로배구를 관람하기 위해 경기장을 찾은 프로스포츠팬 중 무선표집방법을 사용하여 각각 200명씩 총 800명을 표집한 후 설문조사를 실시하였으며 회수된 자료 중에서 조사내용의 일부가 누락되었거나 이중기입, 또는 불성실하게 응답했다고 판단되는 29부의 자료를 제외한 771부를 최종 분석에 사용하였다. 수집된 자료는 빈도분석, 독립 t-검정, 일원변량분석을 실시하였다. 이상의 연구방법과 절차에 의해 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 첫째, 프로스포츠팬의 일반적 특성에 따른 외국인선수 제도에 대한 인식의 차이를 분석한 결과 배타적인식에서는 학력이 낮은 집단과 프로농구, 프로배구 팬의 배타적인식이 높게 나타났으며 수용적 인식에서는 ``남성``, ``대졸``, 관람경력이 ``7년 이상`` 집단, 그리고 프로축구 팬의 수용적 인식이 높게 나타났다. 개방적 인식에서는 ``여성``, ``20대``, ``전문대 졸``, 프로배구 팬의 개방적인식이 상대적으로 낮게 나타났다. 둘째, 프로스포츠팬의 일반적 특성에 따른 외국인선수에 대한 인종적 태도의 차이를 분석한 결과 신체적태도에서는 ``10대``, ``학생``, ``프로농구``와 ``프로배구`` 팬의 신체적 태도가 높게 나타났으며 정의적 태도에서는 나이(10대)가 어리며 학력이 낮고 ``학생``과 ``주부집단``, 관람빈도가 높고 ``프로야구``와 ``프로농구`` 팬의 정의적 태도가 높게 나타났다. 사회문화적 태도에서는 ``남자``, 나이(10대)가 어리며 학력이 낮고 중간 계층이며 ``프로야구``와 ``프로농구`` 팬의 사회문화적 태도가 높게 나타났다.The aim of this research paper is to determine the contribution of professional sports to the acceptance of foreign athletes in the system, racial attitudes in professional sports. The purpose of this study is to examine changes in the awareness and attitudes among fans, and to suggest the appropriate role of professional sports in leading the way for tolerance in the development process of a Korean multi-cultural society. The random sampling method was used to accomplish this purpose, with a total sample size of 800 people surveyed (200 each from the four major korean professional sports: baseball, soccer, basketball, and volleyball). After accounting for inaccurate as well as overlapping data, 29 of the samples were eliminated, leaving 771 to measure the final results. Analysis methods used include Independent Samples T-test, One-way ANOVA analysis among the collected data. These analyses illustrate the following: First, this study analyzes the differences in the perceptions of the subjects to foreign athletes based on certain demographics. The subjects exhibiting characteristics like ``high school graduate``, ``basketball fan``, ``volleyball fan`` tend to be conservative. However those exhibiting characteristics of ``male``, ``university graduate`` ``soccer fan``, and those who have been following sports for over 7 years tend to be much more tolerant. Finally, ``female``, ``in their 20`s``, ``2 year associate degree`` and ``volleyball fan`` tend to exhibit lower levels of tolerance towards foreign athletes. Second, this study analyzes that the differences in racial view towards foreign athletes based on specific demographic data. The subjects who have the general characteristics of ``teenager``, ``student``, and ``basketball fan`` show high physical and affective attitudes. ``Volleyball fan`` typically represent physical attitudes, and ``baseball fan``, and ``basketball fan`` usually display an affective attitude. Regarding socio-cultural attitudes, the characteristics of ``male``, ``teenager,`` ``high school graduate``, ``middle class``, ``baseball fan``, and ``basketball fan`` lead subjects to show high sociocultural attitude.
