연부조직종양과 혼동되는 Gossypiboma

Abstract

척추 및 사지의 이물질 반응은 수술 중에 출혈을 방지하고자 들어간 이물질로 인해 발생할 수 있는 드문 질환으로 경우에 따라서는 화농성 병변을 일으켜 심각한 후유증을 남기거나 사망에 이를 수 있는 질환임에도 불구하고 진단과 치료가 늦어질 수 있다. 저자들은 자기공명영상 검사에서 척추 및 골반 주위에 연부조직종양으로 혼동되는 gossypiboma를 수술적 절제를 통하여 이물 육아종으로 진단하였고 치료가 가능했던 3예를 경험하였기에 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다.Paraspinal or extremity foreign-body reactions are a rare disease, which could be caused by foreign bodies to prevent intraoperative bleeding and can result in severe complications or death. However, they are often neglected. We report three cases of paraspinal and parapelvic gossypiboma mimicking a soft tissue tumor on magnetic resonance imaging, which were diagnosed and treated by surgical excision.
