dc.description.abstractThis study presents the ways of promoting rules of compensation system of employee's inventions in SMEs in order to achieve sustainable growth and development. The compensation systems of employee's invention are widely implemented in many countries such as Japan, US, Germany, UK and Korea to improve company's R&D capabilities and technology competitiveness. Preceding studies and example cases of companies have proven that the companies' compensation systems of employee's invention and their technological innovation are closely connected. This research has found the fact that Korean SMEs have low rate in the introduction and exclusive responsibles of compensation systems of employee's invention, due to the lack of experiences and knowledge of the system. There are some promoting systems for improvements but they are not effective enough for the SMEs. Therefore, more effective promoting systems are required like PR, educational support for the exclusive responsibles, organizing conflict adjustment committee, priorities and incentives on support systems of intellectual property right, expanding incentives to the levels of certification of venture businesses or Innobiz. The compensation system of employee's invention will able SMEs to have technological competitiveness, thereby help them take advantageous positions in the global market.-
