孟浩然 시 창작시기 고찰

Abstract

孟浩然은 중국 唐代를 대표하는 시인 중 하나로, 특히 중국의 산수자연시 역사에서 반드시 거론되는 인물이다. 국내외 많은 학자들도 孟浩然의 중요성을 인식하고 연구를 진행해 왔으며, 그 결과 孟浩然의 생애와 시의 형식 방면에서 많은 연구가 이루어졌다. 하지만 이에 비해 孟浩然 작품의 창작시기 연구는 부족하다. 이는 孟浩然이 관직에 몸을 담지 않아 생애에 대한 기록이 부족하기 때문이다. 이에 본고에서는 전해져오는 생애의 기록을 통해 孟浩然의 행적을 연구한 뒤, 작품 259首의 창작시기를 고찰하였다. 본문에서는 두 가지 방면에서 창작시기를 고찰하였다. 첫째, 孟浩然이 생전에 시를 쓰며 유람했던 행적을 추적하여 창작시기를 고찰하였다.『中國歷史地圖集』에 표기된 唐代의 지역 명과 孟浩然 작품에 나타난 지역 명을 대조하여 그의 유람 행적도를 그렸다. 이 행적도에 근거하여 기존 학자들이 밝히지 못했던 孟浩然 작품의 창작시기를 밝힐 수 있었다. 두 번째, 孟浩然이 동시대 시인들과 주고받은 교우시를 통하여 창작시기를 고찰하였다. 張子容, 王維, 張九齡 등 孟浩然과 교우시를 주고받은 시인들은 대부분 벼슬생활을 하여 생애 정보가 비교적 정확하기 때문에 작품의 창작시기를 밝히는데 큰 도움이 되었다. 행적도와 교우 시인을 통해 창작시기가 밝혀진 작품 중 계절이 언급되어 있는 작품은 창작시기와 계절 모두 파악할 수 있었다. 또한 창작시기를 구체적으로 파악하기 위해 孟浩然의 생애를 학문수양시기, 과거응시시기, 오월유람시기, 낙향은거시기로 나누고 각 시기별로 나타난 孟浩然의 심정 변화와 생활, 환경 등을 설명하였다. 이상의 연구를 통하여, 결론에서는 기존 학계에서는 밝히지 못한 작품 67首의 창작시기를 고찰하였다. 게다가 몇몇 창작시기가 잘못 연구된 작품들도 고증을 통하여 수정하였다. 孟浩然은 唐代를 대표하는 시인으로 꼽히지만, 작품의 창작시기가 명확하지 않은 점을 이유로 문학적 성취를 낮추거나 그의 위상에 대해 부정적인 견해를 제시하는 경우가 종종 있었다. 본 연구가 孟浩然에 대한 부정적인 시선을 완전히 해소하기는 힘들 것이다. 다만 향후 孟浩然 작품에 대한 이해를 돕고, 그에 대한 학계의 평가를 높이는 일에, 본고가 조금이나마 도움이 되기를 희망한다.; Meng Haoran(孟浩然) is one of the representative poets from Tang Dynasty. Meng Haoran is a figure who is essentially mentioned and referred, especially, when the history of Chinese nature poetry is dealt with. Many scholars around the world, as well as in Korea, have studied the poems of Meng Haoran and recognized the importance of him. As a result, many researches on life and poems of Meng Haoran have been conducted actively. However, compared to the number of studies which are conducted from now on about Meng Haoran, creation periods of many of his works have remained unclear. This is because Meng Haoran never had been a public official and gone through wandering life during his life time, and thus, the official records of Meng Haoran are insufficient. Therefore, creation periods of the 259 poems of Meng Haoran are mainly analyzed in this study. For analysis of creation periods of works, two approaches were adopted. First, after tracing the his track of sightseeing, creation periods of Meng Haoran’s works are analyzed. By comparing the names of region in his poems with the regional names appeared on the historical map(中國歷史地圖集), the map retracing Meng Haoran’s sightseeing was made. This evidence was useful in revealing creation period of his poems which was not revealed by previous research. Second, the creation periods were researched through poems which are exchanged between Meng Haoran and his fellows. This approach is especially helpful since most of his fellows such as Zhang Zirong(張子容), Wang Wei(王維) and Zhang Jiuring(張九齡) have relatively accurate official records of their lives as public officials. In order to research creation periods of Meng Haoran’s poetry in detail, life of Meng Haoran is divided into 4 different periods, which are studying and disciplining, preparing examination, traveling periods, and period after retirement. Additionally, Meng Haoran’s condition, circumstance and psychological change according to each period are analyzed. Through this study, creation periods of 67 poems are newly revealed, In addition, creation periods of a few poems revealed in previous researches were founded wrong and corrected based on historical research in this thesis. Meng Haoran is mentioned as representative poet of Tang Dynasty. However, his literary achievements are diminished occasionally, or evaluated negatively due to unclear creation periods of his works. Complete elimination of negative views on Meng Haoran by determining creation periods of all his works is considered to be difficult. However, I hope that this thesis will help to understand the works of Meng Haoran and enhance evaluation of him in academia.
