Abstract
C-ITS(Cooperative Intelligent Transport Systems)의 개발은 각 국가에서 교통 혼잡, 교통 에너지 감소 등을 이루기 위해 아주 중요한 역할이다. 이러한 기술을 개발시키기 위해 반드시 필요한 부분이 차량 통신이며 주로 WAVE(Wireless Access in Vehicular Environments)와 CALM(Communications Access for Land Mobiles)에 의해 연구개발 되고 있는 실정이다. The development of Cooperative Intelligent Transport Systems (C-ITS) has the potential to play a significant role in achieving the country’s goals to tackle the increasing problems of congestion, transport energy consumption and emissions in area. C-ITS typically involves communication between vehicles (V2V), between vehicles and infrastructures (V2I) and/or infrastructure-to-infrastructure (I2I). The benefits span a range of areas, including improving road safety, reducing congestion, optimizing transport efficiency, enhancing mobility, increasing service reliability, reducing energy use and environmental impacts, and supporting economic development. In order to develop technologies, we need to investigate vehicle communications, which mainly are researched by Wireless Access in Vehicular Environments (WAVE) and Communications Access for Land Mobiles (CALM) that are standards defined by IEEE and ETSI, respectively. In many literatures, researchers implement WAVE standard in simulation and they uses typically 6Mbps in data rates. It is regulated by Commission, which define standard, but lack logical basis of defined as default data rate, 6Mbps. In this thesis, we start with a fundamental questions and analyze the meaning of 6Mbps. In first, WAVE communication is implemented as an NS-3 simulator and transmitted Probe Vehicle Data (PVD) information using V2I communications. By varying the number of vehicles and power of transmission, packet delivery ratio(PDR) was determined for each data rate based on various scenarios. As a result, the PDR at 6Mbps was the best in most scenarios and in order to analyze the reasons, the number of collision and the number of received packets for each interval were analyzed through Enhanced Distributed Channel Access (EDCA), which is a protocol of Medium Access Control (MAC) layer, and throughput was analyzed for each transmission rate in various scenarios. Given the channel access and data transmission process in the MAC layer, the channel usage level was confirmed according to each transmission rate in various scenarios.
