dc.description.abstractThis thesis addresses a versatile, non-invasive and non-optical flow visualization technique called magnetic resonance velocimetry (MRV) and its application to visualize 3D flow field inside an anisotropic porous medium to analyze the flow characteristics and estimate the anisotropic permeability ratio by predicting 3D pressure field from the MRV results. In addition, this thesis addresses the accuracy validation of MRV for turbulent and laminar mean flow measurements using circular pipe.-
