dc.description.abstract | Tire plays an important role in transmitting forces from the ground to the vehicle, and it is necessary to build a reliable mathematical model to calculate the tire force. The Magic Formula published by Pacejka has been widely used in the vehicle dynamic simulation. However, it is hard to describe the transient behavior of the tire, which is a phenomenon that a certain distance is needed to get the steady state when the driving condition is changed. In this paper, the transient dynamic model has been applied to different simulation scenarios, longitudinal direction and lateral direction. Comparable results have shown that the transient tire model can be used in the vehicle dynamic simulation. | - |
