- Abstract
- A fan is a mechanism which receives energy and converts it to a mechanical force to a fluid resulting a pressure and velocity. The propeller fan is a type of an axial fan that generates a flow ofan identical direction at the front and the rear of the fan. Due to its advantageous configuration, the propeller fan is capable of high speed rotation compared to a centrifugal fan. Hence, it is commonly used for locations such as tunnels or under-ground ventilationwhich requires vast amount of air flow in a low constant pressure condition. In addition to the use in industrial systems, it is also frequently used in household air-conditioners.
