An analysis of company's investment, capital structure and performance around the world :evidence from global 32 countries in 2000-2015

Abstract

This paper investigates company’s investment, capital structure and performance about global 32 countries in 2000-2015. This study focuses on 24867 companies which are listed in S&P Capital IQ database from 2000 to 2015. This paper mainly has three objectives: the first one is to identify whether the commitment to property rights are associated with investment. Second objective is detect the relationship between capital structure and some Marco-economic variables (inflation, GDP growth, origin of law, capital market, taxes, foreign direct investment，property rights, corruption perceptions, exchange rate, exports of goods and services, legal systems ). The third objective is to prove the influence of company performance, from the view of regulatory constraints, transparency, bureaucratic quality, corruption, economic freedom in an economy, etc. we derive our results using panel data regression technique over the period of 2000-2015 analysis by STATA.
